Congratulations to TRUE lab Ph.D. student Siqi Wang for being nominated for  NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award (F99/K00). He is the only one being nominated from UC Irvine for this competition in this year. Good luck!

Dr. Xiang will present his research on “Theranostics with Radiation-induced Ultrasound Emission (TRUE)” on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at BME department at UC Merced.

Dr. Xiang is invited to talk on “XACT imaging” at SPIE Advanced Biophotonics Conference 2021 at Busan, Korea in November, 2021. 

Dr. Xiang is invited to chair a session on “3D Imaging & Tomography” at IEEE IUS 2021 annual conference. we had so many wonderful talks and questions ! Thank you all ! 

Dr. Pandey applied model-based algorithm to XACT image reconstruction. We hope we can partially solve the limited view problem and also towards the quantitative imaging as well.

Dr. Xiang is invited to moderated a session on “Radiation Dose Evaluation and Verification” together with Dr. Clemens Grassberger from Harvard Medical School at AAPM 2021 annual conference.

Siqi Wang passed the UCI Biomedical Engineering PhD student qualifying examination. After passing, Siqi is now officially a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Xiang will talk about ultrasound image-guided intervention and its application in proton therapy, photon therapy, and electroporation on June 30th, Time zone:(UTC+00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London)
