Pratik Samant Presented on BME Graduate Student Seminar

April 4, 2016 by shawn xiang

IMG_1430Pratik Samant, our graduate student, presented his research on the BME Graduate Student Seminar on April 1st. He was talking about his research on nanoscale photoacoustic tomography. Congrats to Pratik for his great job!

Traditionally, BME graduate students are asked to make a presentation on their research. BME Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend the seminar and to provide feedback and suggestions regarding research content as well as presentation style. The audience will be given time to ask questions and voice comments and also to fill out a provided evaluation form. This seminar series is a chance for students to refine presentation skills and to address critical questions that may be raised by audience members.

Pratik Samant’s GRG proposal has been accepted

December 15, 2015 by shawn xiang

pRATIKPratik, our graduate student, recently came up with a proposal for an undergraduate research project to act as a graduate research guide. We are happy to announce that the proposal was accepted, and Pratik will be a GRG next year, which comes with some funding. He will work with Prof. Xiang to add a research experience to the course ECE 2713 Digital Signals and Filtering. Congrats Pratik!

The Graduate Research Guide (GRG) pilot program aims to increase the opportunities for students to engage in course-based research. The purpose of the GRG is to allow a faculty member to design and implement more impactful research and creative projects than they might otherwise be able to do within a semester course.
