Our abstract titled “Photoacoustic image-guided drug delivery in prostate” has been accepted for Oral presentation at the 2016 SPIE BiOS . Dr. Xiang will attend the meeting next February in San Francisco.
Oral presentation at the 101st RSNA Annual Meeting

RSNA 2015 celebrates RSNA’s 100 years at the forefront of the radiology industry—bringing together the specialty’s professionals for education opportunities and networking, and providing a forum for collaboration on the latest innovations by practitioners and manufacturers alike.
TRUE lab hosts CoE medical imaging summer camp
The TRUE lab has hosted the 2015 CoE medical imaging summer camp for high school students on July 11th. A lecture relevant to Medical Imaging has been given to the students. A lab tour for X-ray imaging and hands-on training with the ultrasound imaging system were provided by our postdocs and graduate students. Thank you all for the support !
Our abstract has been accepted at the 2015 World Molecular Imaging Congress
Oral presentation at the 2015 AAPM Annual Meeting
Our paper “Proton-Acoustic Range Verification in Proton Therapy” has been accepted as an oral presentation at the 57th AAPM Annual Meeting at Anaheim, California on July 12-16th, 2015.
New article published:Imaging-guided high-efficient photoacoustic tumor therapy with targeting gold nanorods
Oral and poster presentation at the 7th Annual CBIS Symposium
Dr. Xiang will give an oral and poster presentation on “XACT: Ultrasonic Detection of X-ray Absorption” at the 7th Annual CBIS Symposium at Stanford University on April 29th, 2015. Of the 58, about 15 were chosen for an additional oral presentation.
The mission of the Center for Biomedical Imaging at Stanford (CBIS) is to advance science through multidisciplinary biomedical imaging. The Center emphasizes applied biomedical imaging by fostering collaboration between researchers and sharing of imaging resources.

HOT TOPIC presentation for the 2013 AAPM Annual Meeting
Liangzhong Xiang’s abstract entitled “X-ray acoustic computed tomography: concept and design” has been identified as a HOT TOPIC presentation for the 2013 AAPM Annual Meeting. A short description of the abstract will be posted on the Annual Meeting ‘Virtual Press Room/Hot Topics‘ site. Cheers!
Publication highlighted on the cover of Medical Physics
Xiang’s recent paper on X-ray acoustic imaging (Med Phys. 2013; 40(1):01070.) was selected to be the cover of Jan. issue of the Medical Physics Journal. The work was also highlighted under the Editor’s Picks column and is on the list of the most downloaded papers in Medical Physics Website.
Xiang is awarded DoD Prostate Cancer Research Program Postdoctoral Fellowship
Despite significant budget cuts in support of various funding agencies, Liangzhong Xiang has received a two-year postdoctoral fellowship (photoaccoutic imaging of prostate cancer) from the Department of Defense (DOD) ProstateCancer Research Program. Only two Stanford postdocs got this award in 2012.
