OU-OUHSC Biomedical Engineering Symposium Winners!

April 5, 2017 by shawn xiang

Pratik Samant, one of our amazing BME graduate students, won the poster award at the OU-OUHSC Biomedical Engineering Symposium on March 24, 2017! There were 210 registrations, and he was selected from among 58 abstracts, based on a review of the abstract and independent judges who met the students at their posters and asked questions.

TRUE lab has 3 posters (two from undergraduate students, Elijah Robertson and Nicklas Dang) in the symposium, two of the posters have been selected as ten finalists for the competition.

Oral presentation at the 2016 RSNA Annual Meeting

July 27, 2016 by shawn xiang

Our abstract “XACT: A Novel Imaging Modality for Breast in 3D” has been accepted as an oral presentation at the RSNA 102nd Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting at Chicago, on November 27 – December 2, 2016.

We have proposed a new imaging paradigm, X-ray induced acoustic computed tomography (XACT). Applying this innovative technology to breast imaging, an X-ray exposure can generate a 3D acoustic image with high spatial resolution, which dramatically reduces the radiation dose, while still maintaining the imaging performance.
