Dr. Pandey applied model-based algorithm to XACT image reconstruction. We hope we can partially solve the limited view problem and also towards the quantitative imaging as well.

Siqi Wang passed the UCI Biomedical Engineering PhD student qualifying examination. After passing, Siqi is now officially a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Xiang talked on “Theranostics with Radiation-induced Ultrasound Emission” at UC Riverside hosted by Dr. Bahman Anvari on 4/7/2021. This talk covered three primary research areas: X-ray induced acoustic computed tomography for monitoring radiation therapy, electroacoustic tomography guided IRE ablation, and photoacoustic image guided laser therapy. Prospects and challenges for the clinical implementation of these techniques has been discussed.
